RE: Fall 2021 Session 2 -- What is YOURPace? - jadkins77 - 11-18-2021 Just getting started on the final for BUS141. I held on to this class as a 100 level easy class but realize now, it's a good bit of work, huh? 15-20 pages? Thankfully it's all broken down, but I've never put together a PMP, so I'm learning as I go. It sounds long, but it's really not because you'll be making a bunch of timelines, spreadsheets, RACI matrix, etc. Many of these sections I created in Excel and copy and paste them into the Word file for the project. You're not putting together a PMP which is a project management certification. You're putting together a project plan. Every section of the project plan is discussed in the course content. RE: Fall 2021 Session 2 -- What is YOURPace? - atmoex - 11-19-2021 If I transferred a course from ONU (or any other RA school), would it show on the UMPI transcript as transfer, or would the grade be displayed, or both? Also, would this course grade affect the overall GPA of the degree? RE: Fall 2021 Session 2 -- What is YOURPace? - bjcheung77 - 11-19-2021 Yes and No. For any transferred courses that are credit bearing and also have letter grades, they only affect your external GPA. Internal GPA's are only calculated from the courses you take at the institution of your choice. Basically, the overall GPA at that institution isn't affected, but what they do calculate for external GPA does. Also, would this course grade affect the overall GPA of the degree? Everything transferred to UMPI shows as transfer credit. No grades are displayed. Just a T for transfer. Transfer credits are not included in your GPA. Your GPA only includes coursework completed at UMPI. That doesn't erase grades from other institutions. Excelsior includes every course in your degree in your GPA. I never took a course at Excelsior and still had a 3.61 because of the transferred classes. RE: Fall 2021 Session 2 -- What is YOURPace? - atmoex - 11-19-2021 Thank you both! RE: Fall 2021 Session 2 -- What is YOURPace? - dp2021 - 11-20-2021 Do milestones need to be affirmed to complete a class? I have responded to all milestones and passed the final exam. This specific Professor has yet to affirm the milestone post; he is a real pain and continues to ask a bunch of questions that aren’t even in milestone; now, he wants a specific format on how to respond. Do I need him to affirm the milestone, or am I okay with the response I have given(3) responses already and the final exam complete. The Milestones do have to be affirmed for the course to be completed. Once a course is completed, it will show being 100% completed and that you've mastered it. It will move out of the Competencies section of YourPace once it's completed. It’s one of the adaptive learning courses with a Final and two milestones. And a green checkmark, yet there is a milestone that he responds to every five days once I submit a response. |
