And advisors have been wrong before. So, it is possible that the "send it by the 31st" is wrong. But I wouldn't count on it being incorrect!

Rachel which formulas did you have to remember good for this Discrete exam please post an Idea what are the most the exam has been focused so I we can concentrate more in this particular subject to score at least 65% to pass

There were several questions about permutations & combinations, so make sure you know those formulas. A couple of questions were just asking what those formulas actually WERE. Binomial probability formula: important. Standard deviation was mentioned once or twice. Try to remember the binomial standard deviation formula, but I'm not sure it actually came up. Know the difference between geometric and arithmetic series and sequences. There were a couple of questions about matrixes, including how to rotate or transform (you'll understand when you get to that unit) and which matrix to use or what type of transformation multiplying by a certain matrix would cause.

But my exam felt like it disproportionately emphasized logic and computer architecture. Like maybe 25% of the course covered pure logic, but around half the exam was about logical statements and picking out which logic gate meant what. I kind of felt like I was taking an exam for Computer Architecture.

Remember you only need 55% or 56% to pass the exam if you can get 100% on your quizzes!

You know, chapter 5 talks about poker games most of the question are thing that you need to know the exact outcome some don't even have a formula.

There was nothing about poker in the questions. Though, there were a few questions about the chance of picking X cards from the deck. Nowhere near as complicated as most of the poker stuff in chapter 5. I got a question that was something like "What are the chances of picking a jack or a two and then getting a 7?" Way, WAY easier than calculating the odds of a full house in poker.

Rachel can you use a calculator and a blank piece of paper for the exam?

If it's not a graphing calculator or a phone, yes! I have a fully-featured scientific calculator that I used. I only needed to use it a couple of times, but it did come in handy. You're also allowed to use a specific web-based scientific calculator (Desmos), but I didn't. I find those to be awkward, though better than nothing if you don't have a physical scientific calculator.

Another thing how many questions are in the Discrete math exam are they the same exact question that are in the quizzes.
Im doing both courses at the same time but I need to push fast this so I have an Idea if reading only the quizzes I can still pass the Discrete math course.

Computer architecture had 100 questions & I had sadly like 5 questions which were related to logic gates.

@gams007 - Agent 007, I suggest you complete the Discrete Math course first and do the exam. Then work on the Computer Architecture, if you don't get the course done you would at least have the Discrete Math one completed. If you're doing both at the same time, if you don't get either completed, then they both won't transfer. I would get one done and work on the other right away, unless of course you're very close to completing both...

For the Discret Math test, time is important, the Demos calculator is great to use.  I like the memory feature where it remembers your last equation.  Study.com will give you access to Demos on the final.

I would forget worrying about poker questions and focus on logic gates since you will get more questions on logic gates.  There were also some Euler Paths and Euler's Circuits questions so don't get those confused.  The key is don't spend too much time learning one concept.

Remember there is very little math on the final, maybe 25% at best. Rachel83az's  post was pretty accurate what was on the final.

They do allow a blank piece of paper. Remember you have to show both sides of the blank paper when you do the room scan.  When you start the test, it may be a good idea to do a brain dump for 5 min and write down your formulas.

So this is going to make it impossible to get a CS degree at TESU unless you take CS courses at TESU or RA sources? I'm pretty upset I didn't get an email about this from TESU. I feel like I've had the rug pulled out from under me.

It was a lowball move that TESU did.

You can waste time dwelling on it going through the 5 stages of grief or move on.

There's no reason to be rude to me. I asked a simple question and expressed disappointment.
