UMPI Requires BIO105 Human Biology to count for the GEC. 103 isn't good enough for them. So it's just elective credits, for the electives of the GEC. Not for the GEC requirement.

So for you it transferred into 3C - all the way on the right the GL03. They wouldn't accept it for me. My general electives are all full.
However on the degree audit it did not. The transfer GEC / objective was far from accurate for me.

I put this together from my degree audit: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_Sophia_Transfer_Equivalents

Oh that degree audit is messed up. Mine is too. It's not designed for YourPace students. It's for the on campus students and we use it. Has Jessica sent you a degree audit via email? That's what I'm going by. She has talked to the registrar about some of my courses because they transferred in. The registrar is who determines if we graduate. It's all done by hand and they don't go by the online degree audit thank goodness! Mine says I haven't completed any of my minors! I've completed 2 of the 3 already.

Oh ! Yeah! Jessica did email me one! Let me go find it!

RE: UMPI - rachel83az - 12-28-2020

Question about UMPI's language requirements: If one takes French 1 and Spanish 1, does that fulfill the requirements or must it be 6 credits of the same language?

The language requirement for the GEC is 3 credits in a foreign language.  For the history/political science degree it's 6 credits of the same language - Spanish I & II or French I & II.

Ah, thanks! It makes sense but I wish it could be 6 credits in any language(s).

Do i see it right that you need two match/ statistic courses in the general?

I'm planning to apply to the BLS, minor in MIS, which does not appear require 2 statistics classes.  Which degree are you planning?

Here's a list of GECs (Gen Eds) required:  http://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?catoid=2&navoid=55#general-education-curriculum

you need to take 10 courses minimum through UMPI and the other courses you can transfer them.

Somehow, I seem to have deleted the parts of the post that I want to reply to. I'll try this again in another post since I can't delete this post and start over with sections I accidentally deleted.

Second attempt at this post.   Big Grin

Correct, gams007.   Smile

I'm putting together a degree plan meet the CEG & minor credits with my current credits, the 10 resident UMPI credits and the remaining credits needed to reach 120 credits.  I hope to speak with someone in the admission office soon to see if my degree plan is feasible.  I'd be happy to post it here if it's an operable plan.
