It sounds like you are fully back on the wagon. Way to go. a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-13-2013 Finance Task 2 came back while I slept.... "This outstanding submission is dominated by thoughtful analyses that indicate a solid knowledge and understanding of the task concepts. Competency is demonstrated and the requirement is met. Well done!" Unfreakingbelievable! Ever see a fat guy do the happy dance? ![]() a little WGU MBA review.... - Jhiggi83 - 07-14-2013 I was bouncing back and forth between Liberty and WGU for my MBA. I am currently taking may last 2 classes for my B.B.A and your review help solidify my decision. Applied to WGU a week ago and they provisionally accepted me off of my resume. Pending the completion of my last 2 classes of course. a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-14-2013 Jhiggi83 Wrote:I was bouncing back and forth between Liberty and WGU for my MBA. I would be equally pleased had you decided on Liberty...the point is to present WGU's MBA as I have found it and if someone doesn't care for the format that's fine to know too. I suspect your resume reflects some real business experience...that's definitely the target demographic for this program. Good luck, and thanks for the note. I'm here if you need anything! Mike a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-14-2013 9 page Task 3 submitted...after the success with Task 2 I'm all optimistic....probably get hit by the Taskstream truck for major revisions lol. I have to let everyone know about the Facebook student groups. There is a group for each course and students gather to talk about the tasks and lend each other a hand. It's moderated heavily to prevent the possibility of anyone violating the ethics and honors standards set forth by WGU, but it's a great place to find the guidance a student might have received from the instructors without having to inquire with the instructor directly yourself, or to gain clues as to what the taskstream graders might really be looking for...VERY HELPFUL INDEED! a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-14-2013 Wow, Taskstream fired this one back in record time...about 2 hours! Unfortunately they found it lacking in a couple of key areas. I've asked the Course Mentors to take a look and offer some guidance, once I get that I'll revise and get it back to them. This class is so weird, I really never have a sense rather I'm on the right track or not. I feel like I'm getting a lot out of this one none the less. It's a worthwhile struggle. a little WGU MBA review.... - Jhiggi83 - 07-15-2013 rebel100 Wrote:Welcome aboard! I hope you find everything contained in this thread to be exactly as I've presented it. I am in the military so I have 4 years as a financial analyst and I have been doing Contracting and Acquisitions for the last 2. What really sealed it for me is TA will cover 1whole 6 month term and 1,250 of the second one. The self paced is a plus. I am finishing my undergrad in a self paced environment. I have been known to do a Undergrad course in a day. Very Difficult and Time Consuming but when OCD kicks in I sit in front of the computer until it is done. a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-18-2013 Jhiggi83 Wrote:I am in the military so I have 4 years as a financial analyst and I have been doing Contracting and Acquisitions for the last 2. I fixed it per their specifications, but have sent it off to the course mentor for a double check. So only 1 more area to address and Financial Analyses Task 3 will be in the books...that's over the hump! Just two more tasks in this course. a little WGU MBA review.... - rebel100 - 07-18-2013 Went ahead and submitted revisions, see how it goes. |
