Clovis Community College, English 102 - killerkitty - 04-10-2009 Hi all Just wondering if anyone has taken any online classes from Clovis. I have to take an English 102 (they already told me they would accept my Penn Foster English if it's on an ACE transcript). I know there's a few of you guys out there who have taken a course or two with them, care to share your experience? Especially if anyone's taken the English classes. Orrrrr, if you've taken English 102 at another online school and you liked it, please share! Thanks! Clovis Community College, English 102 - jonasling - 04-10-2009 I haven't but won't the StraighterLine path would be easier than Clovis or Penn Foster? Clovis Community College, English 102 - killerkitty - 04-10-2009 hmmmm good idear do you know if their English 102 is accepted at one of the any of the big 3 by any chance??? They won't take Penn Foster's English 102 because it's not ACE approved, atleast not yet. thanks 4 your help! Clovis Community College, English 102 - jonasling - 04-10-2009 I read on a thread in this forum that they are working on getting Fort Hays to accept Eng Comp 2. Not sure if they have been approved. Check with them and see what's the latest. Once they get Fort Hays to accept it then you should be able to transfer to any of the big three since Fort Hays is RA. Clovis Community College, English 102 - killerkitty - 04-10-2009 ohhhh, shweet! that would be awesome if they did, thanks again! Clovis Community College, English 102 - jonasling - 04-10-2009 Ok, found the post I was talking about. Also, can you please update the forum if you find out the latest from StraighterLine? http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/7131-straighterline-excelsior-wer.html#post52646 Clovis Community College, English 102 - killerkitty - 04-10-2009 yay thank you i will definitely keep everyone posted! Clovis Community College, English 102 - frankiebleyes - 04-10-2009 I failed English Comp w/essay, though they told my school I had passed. I failed by one point. Took straighterline english 101 through Ft. Hays. Wanted to take English 102 straighterline through Ft. Hays. Spoke with them this week. They are not accepting 102 and have no plans on accepting 102 anytime in the future. The only supposedly parntership school with straighterline that was accepting english 102 is Potomac. After about 15 calls to Potomac found out that they are not accepting english 102 through straighterline unless you sign up and take courses from their school. One three hour class costs $1,345.00. Cost prohibitive for me. If anyone knows of an accelerated english 102, please post. I'm desperately looking for this one myself. Thanks Clovis Community College, English 102 - jonasling - 04-10-2009 frankiebleyes Wrote:I failed English Comp w/essay, though they told my school I had passed.Sorry to hear.
