Management Information Systems - PrincessButtercup - 03-17-2016 I know that Saylor has MIS but doesn't offer ACE credits Penn Foster MIS no longer offers ACE credits and I am unable to go to a testing center for DSST I'm enrolled in COSC and that is the last course I need to figure out how to complete. Any suggestions? Management Information Systems - topdog98 - 03-17-2016 COSC allows the Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP to meet the MIS requirement in the Business Administration major. Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't get to a testing center Management Information Systems - topdog98 - 03-17-2016 On COSC's Alternative Credit Project, https://www.charteroak.edu/alternative-credit-project/index.cfm it lists this course as being accepted for that credit: Introduction to Business Information Systems ACPE-0109 Pearson ITE101 Management Info Systems Courses | Propero | Pearson I haven't taken one of these courses, but some here have. They are fairly expensive at $299. Management Information Systems - lavagirl - 03-18-2016 Does anybody know how Pearson / Propero Introduction to Business information Systems will transcribe in TESU? According to their ACP equiv chart: CIS-102 Management Information Systems - lavagirl - 03-18-2016 adavis84 Wrote:According to their ACP equiv chart: CIS-102 Thank you so much! I have not seen that chart before. This is a great find for upper credits in CS: "Managing Information Systems ACPE-0118 Ed4Online CIS-301 " ( I am aware of MIS DSST, but some people need alternative options). I wonder if somebody took this course from Ed4Online and can share experience. It will be greatly appreciated. P.S. That's weird. I looked at ACE credit, and Ed4Online is not listed there... http://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseaction=content.getEvaluatedOrganizations#E Management Information Systems - bjcheung77 - 03-18-2016 lavagirl Wrote:Thank you so much! I have not seen that chart before. I was looking into this as well. I would say if you are close to a testing location, go for the DSST MIS. The cost and testing fee should be no more than $105. You can subscribe to the InstaCert for the forums and flash cards for $20 or $15 if you find a coupon. Plus, until the end of April you get a buy 2 get 1 free for DSST testing. The ed4online is $300. Oh, and there is an error on the COSC site as they have accidentally swapped the two computer courses around, if you view the TESU page, that is the correct credential equivalent you should be getting. Thanks, Management Information Systems - adavis84 - 03-18-2016 lavagirl Wrote:...I wonder if somebody took this course from Ed4Online and can share experience. It will be greatly appreciated. Those courses are listed as Alternative Credit Project Ecosystem in ACE. I started a thread a little while back about this course and looking for Ed4Online feedback in general. I didn't receive any responses. Either no one felt like sharing, or few here have taken their courses. http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/25507-ed4online-ed4credit.html Management Information Systems - lavagirl - 03-18-2016 adavis84 Wrote:Those courses are listed as Alternative Credit Project Ecosystem in ACE. Thank you so much for the info! I guess you were reluctant to try them? Have they ever answered your inquiry? |
