Not getting ACE credits for Microsoft certs on Credly
Posted by: Pikachu - 07-25-2025, 05:20 PM - Forum: Saylor.org, Straighterline, Study.com, Sophia.Org, Coursera Discussion - Replies (1)

Do you folks know who should I contact regarding this? I got the Azure Fundamentals cert via Certiport (not directly through Microsoft) and the credly page doesn't have the ACE credit logo on it anymore:
https://www.credly.com/org/microsoft-cer...ndamentals

The AI Fundamentals one still has it, for e.g.:
https://www.credly.com/org/microsoft-cer...ndamentals

On ACENET it says the cert still has ACE status until 9/30:

I am an international, but I am in US, so not sure if required the English Test or not if enroll. I want it can be evaluated all ACE credit to school, and quickly and easy to get the degree, I like no exam test is better, if need, can we use ChatGPT?

Actually: i have sent above ACE credit to WGU, WGU only allow transferred 58 credits, and I have sent to TESU to be evaluated 2 weeks before, but I did not receive any feedback from TESU(might be I have not enroll in TESU).

I hope someone gives me some suggestion.

  Teacher Licensure in North Carolina
Posted by: 25BangBang - 07-25-2025, 04:07 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (1)

I'm a long-time user. I got my associate's from Excelsior and my bachelor's from TESU (back when it was TESC). I completed IT training in the Army and Uncle Sam paid for me to pass 21 CLEPs and DSST. This forum was a huge help.

I recently got a verbal offer for a position teaching middle schoolers business. I would be completing the alternative licensure program since I already have my bachelors. What would be the fastest online program to complete my alternative licensure requirement? It would be great if I could knock it out in the summer. I have a baby on the way so the least amount of time is preferred. However, I am open to more prestigious programs like Pathway to Practice NC if they prepare me for the classroom. I am also open to out-of-state programs if they have reciprocity but I wasn't able to find anything on this.

Also, would this need to be CTE or business specific program or can I do anything middle school?

I would prefer to keep around $5k-$8k. I have 8 months left on my GI bill if that helps. I can spend 6-8 hours a day until August 18th when school will start. After that, I can spend 1-2 hours a day on it but would prefer to spend with my family. Ideally, I would complete in 2-3 weeks but I don't know how this compares to my other online education.

  Failed Twice To PhD
Posted by: bjcheung77 - 07-25-2025, 02:48 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - No Replies

Very interesting indeed, a story on how this person got into a medical physics residency...

He failed out of university twice. His path to a PhD was anything but straight
A torn meniscus derailed Ary Safakish’s university career, but 15 years later, his story shows how setbacks can lead to unexpected outcomes.

Help with planning a degree at Metropolia University
Posted by: SkintGradStudent - 07-25-2025, 07:02 AM - Forum: Degree Planning Advice - No Replies

Hello,
I'm looking for information about the Metropolia Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. From my understanding, we need to enroll in the Open UAS Path for 579 EUR (120 ECTS) which should open on the 1st or 4th of August. On the webpage about the bachelor in Information Technology it still reports the 180 + 60 option, and it’s noted that the changes will be updated in Autumn.

I’d like to know a few things:

  1. For the remaining 60 credits (which should become 120 now...?), can these be completed at my own pace, or is there a strict two-year completion timeline?
  2. If I enrol in the full Open UAS Path, can I still complete the courses at my own pace?
  3. Is it possible to enrol in individual courses and later combine these credits towards bachelor's degree enrolment? (I mean doing the individual courses of the path without enrolling in the path)
  4. I'm confused by the "NonStop" designation for courses, because specific enrolment and running dates are provided. I.e., "Engineering Physics 1" is listed as "NonStop," yet its details show a timing date of 01.01.2025 - 31.12.2026 and an enrolment period of 16.04.2024 08:00 - 31.07.2025 23:59  Huh
  5. For those with personal experience at Metropolia, how flexible is the Work Placement module? I'm concerned about finding internships independently in my home country (read: it’s almost impossible).
  6. Lastly, are there any similar options in other institutions/countries (within the EU)? I've searched everywhere but haven't found anything comparable, but you're better than me at these things  Big Grin

Thank you for taking the time to read all that!

I just started my UMPI journey! And hopefully law school after this
Posted by: whereismyramen - 07-24-2025, 11:17 PM - Forum: UMPI - University of Maine at Presque Isle Discussion - Replies (6)

Hi fellas,

I just started my UMPI journey since July.7th. I transferred in 89 credits from Sophia.org, waived the second language requirment because English was my third language.

Three and half weeks in I've finished BUS220 and BUS200.

Ten more courses to go. And by this pace I would probably finish the degree in two subscription terms.

The true reason I could knock down theses classess quick I guess have something to do with I am already PMP certified, learned some bussiness aspects through work and crash courses and now more feel like a brush up on my old memories instead of completely learning new things.

Probably would declare a BLS in Pre Law after my BBA in Management, since I might be applying this winter for 2026 enrollment of law school. Will be documenting those if anyone is interested, but I guess then I would need more than 60 credits finished at UMPI? So I would need a thrid or a fourth term. Already got an 168 of LSAT in my June test. Will be taking another test in early August as well.

Will be applying to Georgia Tech's OMSA after UMPI as well, backup plan for law school didn't pan out. I wish UMPI could provide CS/data/stats major as well... I mean I am aware that WGU exist, but I just have some preferences for schools have a actual brick and mortar campus.

Southwest University of "Naprapathic" Medicine

"Chi" University - yes, that kind of "Chi"
American College of "Healthcare Sciences" Atlantic University
  • Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology - featuring courses like "Introduction to Shamanic Studies", "Becoming a Teacher of Dream Work", "Integrated Imagery: Regression Hypnosis Level 1", and "TP5005- Spiritual Crisis".

  Only missing 12 RA credits
Posted by: zolpgree - 07-24-2025, 03:19 AM - Forum: TESU - Thomas Edison State University Discussion - Replies (12)

Hello everyone,

I'm nearly done with the credits requirements for what's become a three degree plan at TESU.

1. BA Computer Science
2. BS Aviation Flight Technology
3. ASNSM Mathematics

If my planning is correct, I'm only missing 12 RA credits before enrolling.

Total RA planned: 30

Currently done:
3 TEL American Government MACU

Residency requirements:
3 APS-4010
3 LIB-4970
3 SOS-1100
3 ePack
2 Labs
1 credit course
= 15

Missing prior to application:
12 4x (Teceps or TEL)

I've attached my detailed plans for the General Education requirements and the Area of Study (AOS) for each degree. I know it's a lot of information, but I've done my best to align everything with the requirements I've found on the TESU wiki, forums, and other resources. Any feedback on my plan is truly appreciated.

Some questions:
1) Can I use AOS credits from one degree to fullfill the general electives of the other?
2) I have purposedly made sure there are no more than 9 credits overlapping between the AOS of the 3 degrees. Greatest overlap is ASNSM with 9 (Discrete Math, Calculus and Statistics).
3) From what I've gathered, the Google Cloud Data Analytics certificate is counted for atleast 6 upper level credits and for the respective TESU courses (as listed on my planning). Is that accurate?
4) Any other RA recommendations that are self paced and accessible? If not, I believe I'll stick with math related TECEPs instead of trying to study something from scratch. But I'm open to suggestions.
5) Am I overlooking anything?

Thank you all in advance.

Kind of a BS post, but I'm curious. This forum goes pretty far back from what I can see. Who is the longest running member in this forum that is currently active (at least every now and then)?
