Does Charter Oak's Capstone cost the same as the Cornerstone?
I enrolled yesterday, and my adviser says I need to be enrolled in 6 credits to receive financial aid....even though I'm only 6 credits away from graduation.

If your out of state it will cost you $966 for the 3 credit class. $322 for the 5 week 1 credit class and $644 for the 10week 2 credit class. There is no book requirement for the capstone. I am taking the first 1credit portion now.

Yeah the class is roughly $900.
The 6 credit requirement is based on federal funding requirements. 6 credits is the minimum you have to be enrolled in to receive any aid at all.
I would figure out what you need for your other 6 credits and take that as a course elsewhere via consortium agreement it will be considerably cheaper (half or less) and allow you to qualify for federal student aid.
CSU-Pueblo worked really well for me doing this over 2 semesters and you can be in one of their classes this afternoon if need be.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

If publius2k4 is only 6 credits away from graduation is that not the cornerstone and capstone which cannot be taken in the same semester?

You might be able to take them in the same semester....I have heard both that you can and that you can't....I suspect a squeaky wheel would find traction for doing them both if they demonstrated 114 credits being brought in.
The Cornerstone is an 8 week course.
The capstone is a 1 credit 5 or 8 week course coupled with a 2 credit 8 week course....so in theory one has the time in a single semester.....be a semester FULL of writing!
