Are there any online self-paced degrees from regionally accredited colleges? I'm mostly interested in web-development and film studies, and possibly creative writing. I seem to keep finding schools that are just regular classes online, or "accelerated cohort" learning. I don't like certification tests. I like being given an assignment, working on it, turning it in, and going on to the next assignment. Similar to regular classes, but able to go faster. Previously, I had been looking at tech-focused degrees, but now I am looking at things more creativity focused.

There are a LOT of online self-paced degrees. You can see a list here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Co...d_Programs
I don't know if there are any specifically about the three you listed, but UMPI does have a BA in English. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...egree_Plan It's not really creative writing, instead being more of a journalism degree. But I think it's one of the closest.
It's not exactly 100% self-paced, but TESU also has an English degree. That one would allow more freedom in what you can bring in for electives and for the major. There is a degree plan for that here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan
One possibility would be to get the BA English at TESU + The AS (NSM) Computer Science at the same time using the Google UX Design Certificate + IBM Full Stack Professional certificate from Coursera. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Neither SNHU nor ASU are self-paced. Once you get past the 90 alternate credits, it's standard university courses.

This is great thanks! I was looking at UMPI last night, it is close. I had not considered TESU because I thought they followed a fixed calendar schedule, maybe they added something self-paced? I will check through all the schools on your list. Seems like it is getting harder to find things in Google nowadays.

Depends on how you define "Self-paced".
"Self-paced courses are online academic classes that can be completed at a students' own pace within a predetermined timeframe. These courses don't ask students to meet online at specific times, or to submit assignments ahead of set deadlines."

With SNHU, you can work whenever you want, although assignments are due on Sunday. They do also allow you to work ahead.

With TESU, all but the final 6 (or 16, depending on your time/money budget) credits can come from self-paced sources such as Sophia or Study.com. You only need to follow the fixed schedule for the final few classes at the school.

With deadlines due every week, I wouldn't consider that to be self-paced. That's more of a regular class that's a little bit flexible in allowing you to work ahead. Also, if you finish your classes early, it's not like you can sign up for new classes at SNHU. You're stuck waiting until the next classes start.

When you use 3rd party sources like Sophia or Study.com, do you have to do all those before you enroll in TESU?
