There was a rumor that Excelsior would add the option of testing out of the capstone but I do not think it is possible.  If the only class you have left is the capstone than take it.  A lot of people have survived it.  From what I understand it is not as scary as it sounds just pick a good topic that you are interested in researching. You only need a C to pass the course.

What exactly bothers you about doing the capstone? It's really just a big research paper, and the course walks you through the process. For the TESU liberal arts capstone, the first module helps you pick a subject. The second one is an introductory chapter. If you can write at all and follow directions, you can pass this course.

It's easy to psych yourself out worrying about it. Just make sure to pick a good mentor and you'll be fine.

I thought I read here that someone transferred the capstone course from one of the Big 3 to another of the Big 3 (i.e., the EC capstone to TESU or vise versa). This would still require the research paper to actually be completed, would cost about the same, and would take about the same effort - so I don't really see the benefit. Assuming that it's even possible, of course.
