I started the Coursera course yesterday and finished Week 1 and lessons 1-8 in swirl. So far, I really like this course and will tackle as much of Week 2 as I can tonight. Thanks, again, bluebooger for recommending it!

I also signed up for the edX Lin Alg course today. I'm not 100% sure yet if I'll have the time to devote enough attention to pursue the certificate in this course (or even finish it), but I figure some MATLAB exposure is beneficial and since I plan to take Lin Alg through UND IS later this summer, this course should be a nice complement.

I still haven't spoken to anyone about the "2nd depth" requirement

my plan is to do the CLEP Into to Computers and the DSST Management Info Systems and may try for an MS Excel cert and an MS Access Cert

but yeah, anybody interested in some "not too expensive" statistics, data analysis, programming courses should definitely check this place out

everything with a check mark by it has been evaluated and recommended for college credit by ACE

I'm thinking of taking the Hadoop and the SQL class at the same time as one B&M foreign language class I'm taking for fun. I work full-time as well.

Are these two statistics.com classes easy enough that I can pull this off? The course description says 15 hours a week each, but that's usually way inflated when it's B&M classes at the community college. I have previous programming experience in Python, but I would classify myself as a low intermediate Python coder.

And does anyone have feedback as far as whether TESU accepted the credits as UL for CS? I've read in other threads that TESU doesn't preapprove ACE.
