Can anyone suggest a study abroad program for a teen? I have info on the People to People, anyone know of others? I'm looking for something kinda short- semi educational and possibly for credit. The ones I find are all for college students!?

Up with People accepts people ages 18-29, which is probably out of your age range, but the 22-week program is worth college credit. They visited my area when I was involved in a high school drama class. Some of the performers (it's a singing and dance group, but you don't have to be a gifted singer or dancer) came to talk to my class, and our drama teacher quit her job and went on tour with them. Here's the link to that site:

Also found this site where you can search programs for high school-age students, or have you already seen this?:
High School Study Abroad: International High School Programs - High School Programs at GoAbroad.com
About what age are we talking about? And should the program be artistic, or should this teen be teaching English or doing building construction projects? What do you have in mind exactly?

Here's one that I just recently applied to:
BestSemester They have semester and summer long programs all over the world, and all for college credit.
Hope this helps!

My son will be 15, so I'm looking at high schoolers. I insist on excellent staff to student ratio and high school/college credit would be a plus. Less than the whole summer, maybe 2-6 week range. He wants to go on the People to People trip this summer but its $7K for 19 days, so, thats just not happening!
