spacing and paragraph indents for papers

Hello all, when a course like Creative and Critical Thinking (Prof. Zaborney) requests an 8 to 11 page paper for the final assessment but doesn't list the spacing/paragraph parameters, what have most students done - double spaces, single-spaced? paragraph indentations? (asking, since this will impact how much content I'll need to write to hit that page count). Thanks!
