I'm pretty sure that Sophia is pass/fail at Excelsior and it won't show on your transcripts.
I don't think Excelsior actually publishes which CLEPs are worth what? I certainly can't find that information on their site. If you're fluent in French, you might want to consider taking a French ACTFL exam or two for possible UL credit. Excelsior requires at least 30 UL credits, so having extra UL credit can be useful.

interesting. CLEP website states that excelsior will grant 12 credits for french 1 and 2, is that going to be considered LL unlike ACTFL? I can easily pass any ACTFL french test.

Yes, CLEP is LL. ACTFL offers some UL, depending on how well you score. I forget how many UL credits you can put toward random irrelevant credits for something like a business degree, but I think it'd be 6 or 9? You can easily get that with an ACTFL if you know French well enough.

Depending on your CLEP score, EU will either award 6cr (score of 50-58) or 9cr (score of 59+). The ACTFL exams can be worth UL if you score high enough, on either the OPI/OPIc and/or WPT.
EU does not report any grades for P/F courses/exams through ACE or NCCRS. Only for courses taken through them.

@defmo, I would recommend going onto the Excelsior website and creating a spreadsheet of their requirements. Then decide on the ACE/NCCRS options to take, such as Davar, LawShelf, Sophia/Study.com towards the Business degree. You can then link us to the spreadsheet and we can review that... there may be other providers you're interested in such as CLEP/MS... You don't have to get all the courses entered into the spreadsheet, if you can't find a course, we can recommend an exam or something else.

Hello, happy to share that i got 76 on my french I and II CLEP test. I also have completed 7 classes on sophia.org. I need a roadmap. How many credits total will i be able to get from sophia? i am very comfortable with it, should i just keep going as i saw Excelsior accepts 30+ sophia classes. should i just aim to take them all? I am stuck on what classes to take.
I have finished:
macro and micro
principles of finance
financial accounting
intro to web dev
college algebra
intro to business.
+12 credits? from french I and II CLEP.
thanks

Compare the classes you need for your degree with their Sophia equivalencies: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/So...lency_List

In addition to the wiki link to the equivalencies, you may also want to create a spreadsheet document to reference and track your progress. I would add other providers, not just ACE options such as Sophia.org, Study.com but also NCCRS options such as Davar Academy, LawShelf, etc. Basically, take what courses can transfer to your degree from these providers, not take everything from Sophia.org (unless you want to learn those extra subjects and also have them on the transcripts).
