According to the breakdown of the category mentioned earlier and my attached degree UMPI BABA Leadership and Mgmt concentration, it looks like I need to take Intro to Ethics which my son can take through Sophia to satisfy the 2A category. However, according to what I believe according to ss20ts, it looks like my son's YSU Psych 1550 General Psychology class may have satisfied the 2B category, so, I am not sure if he would need to take Intro to Ethics or not? Can you please confirm if he needs this class?
Thanks,

Ethics fills several areas of the GEC:
2A
2B
4C
5D
Psych doesn't fill all of these.

To confirm, my son would need a total of 40 credit hours that meet all of the letter/number categories, but, one class can meet multiple categories...correct?

Yes the GEC requires a minimum of 40 credits. A course can be used to fill multiple areas of the GEC.

It gets confusing when COSC, UMPI, and other schools have multiple requirements and courses can complete them, people keep saying or quoting this as "double dipping". I don't, the main reason is, you still need to finish 13 courses at a minimum for the GEC. A degree has 40 courses/120 credits, just get them lined up according to the requirements...
