Thought you guys would like this. I called Andrew Jackson to ask a quick question. I press the number to get student services, the person answers and it goes like this:
AJU: "hello, Mrs. DeRosa?"
Me (stunned- how could she know my name?) "uhhh, yes."
AJU (guessing that I was stunned, she chuckles) "we have caller ID. This is Tammy, you'll remember we spoke when you first applied? How can I help you today?"
Me: (JAW ON THE FLOOR) "Wow, yes I remember you. I just had a quick question....."
If you want me to drink the kool-aid, all it takes is good customer service.

That's awesome! I gotta say you won't get that at UMUC especially if it's by email. They get back to you in a reasonable amount of time but they never give you an absolute answer. I picture them sitting around competing who can give the vaguest answer and still not look rude. My advisor must be at the top of his game.

I find it amazing how many businesses simply don't get how important CS is. I placed a fairly large order for shop equipment yesterday based on how nice I was treated at a company when they dealt with me. I got 4 different quotes from companies which were all withing $200 of each other; I chose the one who had the best customer care.

Queen Bee, that's good to hear. I think we've been so spoiled by TESC ignoring us that when we finally go to school that acknowledges us we're sooo happy!

Tammy at AJU is great and AJU gets the whole CS thing, not to mention featuring user-friendly technology at every corner. Impressive for a very small, unknown school. I've attended 4 different schools for various credits over the years. AJU is by far the most customer-oriented and user-friendly.
