They send all your books to your house, it's self paced courses just like ALEKS or Straighterline, expect some courses will require proctor exams but anyone with an associates degree can proctor you. I go to a local library and take mines. Make sure your Penn Foster courses are ACE approved some of them aren't. Excelsior, TESC and COSC all take Penn Foster credits as long as it's ACE reviewed. You can check on the ACE national site (ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training | Find a Course or Exam) and search Penn Foster College and a whole bunch of ACE approved courses are on the list. But still contact the school of your choice ask them if they accept them as well most likely they are if the courses are under ACE. I'm in the associates program of Penn Foster, and plan on transferring all my credits either to COSC or TESC haven't made a definite answer yet!

Certification (ACA) University of Central Florida
B.A. (Social Sciences) Thomas Edison State University

My Wife is German. So we got her High School Diploma through Penn Foster. You have to take the exams online, then wait for your grade. Then wait for them to ship the next set of books. Once it shows shipped you can start the next class online and not wait for the books.
