SNHU BS Data Analytics course plan, advice?
#1
Your Location: Croatia
Your Age: 34
What kind of degree do you want?: Data Analytics / Mathematics
Current Regional Accredited Credits:

Daytona State College: 106

Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:

Provider Total Credits: #
Class Name, Credits, Grade

Any certifications or military experience? No

Update: I'm looking to follow the degree plan for Data Analytics at SNHU, posted here https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/SN..._Analytics
SNHU have accepted 57 credits from my Daytona State College AA degree. I would be completing/transferring additional 24 credits through Google Data Analytics and Google IT Support Professional Certificate courses on Coursera, as well as 9 credits via additional courses through Study.com and Sophia. I would take the remaining 30 credits at SNHU to satisfy the residency requirement. See attached course plan and credit transfer audit.

.pdf   Transfer audit.pdf (Size: 34.75 KB / Downloads: 24)

To be perfectly honest, this looks too good to be true, so I'm looking for some confirmation that this is a viable plan. I appreciate any advice you can share.

Alternatively, I would be interested in the Bachelor's in Mathematics degree if it's a better fit with my DSC coursework.

Budget: I have a max of $10K saved up
Commitments: I currently work full time and can work on my studies part time or in the evenings/weekends.
Dedicated time to study: I can study 25-30 hours a week.
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 1-1.5 years (12-18 months)
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None. Paying out of pocket.

Your plan looks great.

Historical Perspectives can be lower-level, and you can take a course on Sophia to save some money.

Getting the Google IT Automation Cert seems like a lot of work for a one-course requirement, so it's probably easier to do Sophia's Intro to Python.

It is true that the Data Analytics is pretty easy to plan.  All you need is GE done + Google Data Analytics cert and that's pretty much it.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.

Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

Sometimes it is just that, a balanced mix/match trifecta of certs, degree, experience, and that's what you're getting with the ACE/Alternative credits along with the certs and some experience when you get your degree. If you have the energy, time, work on anymore of those Coursera/Google certs that you may be interested in, along with getting some extra experience in them. Then go with the SNHU BS Data Analytics until you've completed the requirements...

Thanks everyone for your responses. It's encouraging to hear that I'm on the right track. I'll look into Historical Perspectives courses on Sophia as LevelUP suggested.I'll get cracking on that Google Data Analytics course while I knock off a few of the remaining GE classes.

I want to avoid taking the "Research and Persuasion or Sophomore Seminar" class at SNHU, as it sounds like it's going to be a lot of writing. Any suggestions on alternatives here?

If you take Workplace Writing II or English II and take Environmental Science at Sophia, then you will need to pick any 2 courses to take at SNHU to meet the 10-course requirement.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

That's perfect. I'd actually prefer to take the easier courses at SNHU, so it'd be great to take Workplace Writing II and Environmental Science at Sophia and Culmination Experience and Ethical Thought & Equity at SNHU.
