Feedback from Penn Foster Princ. of Finance

I was unaware there was an Ops Management course at PF that would satisfy the requirement, I would verify first with your advisor. The CSU-Pueblo course does not have a proctored final.

Thanks for the info. Matter of fact, I just received another response from my academic advisor and was told I will receive letter grades for Penn Foster courses, which is great, because I'm trying to get 3.75.

Dear Joe,

Yes, you would receive letter grades for the Penn Foster courses. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I need to see if they have an operations management course for Penn Foster.

Approx 6 or so months ago, I was told by my advisor that the courses would be listed as Pass/Fail and made a post with that response. I have since taken 6 courses thru Penn Foster and all of them have been given a letter grade. A policy may have changed since I had been given a response. I think it was in regards to changes regarding courses from NA accredited schools to EC.

Not sure in what order I should take the courses. I plan to do the following courses that I have left for my B.S. General Business for Excelsior:

Microeconomics CLEP Dec 30th
Ethics in America - mid/end January

Penn Foster
ACC112 Managerial Accounting
FIN101 Financial Management

I don't see any courses in Penn Foster for operations Management, I guess I can take that at CSU-Pueblo

Business Strategy - Excelsior College

I took 4 PF courses while taking Business Strategy thru EC. So its very doable to complete your two while taking Business Strategy.

Business Strategy will be a set 16 weeks, but I think it starts every other month or so.

CSU course I took while studying for other CLEPs. I think you have 6 months to complete the course.

I would signup for both PF courses at the sametime. You can work on both or one at a time. But you will have to compete all online section exams for each course before the proctor final will ship. You would have to take a proctored final for both courses in one sitting. One hour each. I found that I was always waiting alot for shipments of coursework or shipments of test to my proctor.

If you do them individually you will have to wait until your proctored final is recieved and graded for the first class before you can signup for another course and have the books shipped.

You have to learn the step by step process to use each formula, don't rely only in the calculator...
