Since you mentioned that you did the InstantCert questions, you have access to the exam specific forums. You should read many posts in the forum specific to the exam. You may also want to look here: Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP Free Study Guide

Although it depends on your personal circumstances, sometimes there is a case to be made for taking an exam when there is uncertainty about passing. If you can afford the price tag of failing and not being able to retake a CLEP for 180 days or a DSST for 90 days, it makes sense to take an exam. If you pass, you stop wasting time studying. If you fail, you know that you need to study more. Overstudying is time not spent making progress toward passing another exam or just enjoying life. I'd much rather make a 50 on a CLEP test than an 80 if it is a subject I have to study for. However, if you are getting your credits from a school that awards letter grades, an 80 is much preferred over a 50. Use time efficiently.

I enjoyed overstudying for my CLEP tests. A 50 is the equivalent of a C- in a class so I was never happy getting anything less than a 68 or so. Doing exams over and over gets old so why not break it up by reading one of the study guides. They are usually about 120-150 pages of good solid information that will be on the exam and they really drive home the concepts well.
