This is just FYI: My son switched his foreign language interest from Japanese to Korean. Turns out that Korean is also much easier to learn. Who knew? I found Korean 101 and 102 at BYU, 4 cr each, $772.

But speaking/pronunciation is supposed to be easier with Japanese (only 5 vowels).
