grad school question

Since getting my bachelors is looking like a reality (with many thanks to this forum), I was wondering if any of you forum gurus knew what possibilities there might be for testing out of graduate school credits.

Anyone have any ideas? I realize it would be specific to whatever a program might be willing to accept but I find myself wondering about this alot.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

This question has come up on the distance learning forum from time to time. What you are looking for doesn't exist. There is one British program (Harriott Watt - but I might be spelling that wrong) that the master's classes don't require homework- only final exams- so technically, you are testing out...but you are using THEIR test for THEIR classes and paying full tuition. Nothing like CLEP or DSST for grad level.
(but that's ok- look at all the time and money you saved on your undergrad degree-I look at it as saving resources on a "check the box" degree so I could focus my resources (time/money) on a good degree)

You were actually one of the "gurus" I had in mind when I posted that question! LOL
I was just telling my wife about your story and what you were doing at Harvard and she was amazed! You're an inspiration. Oh and for what it's worth, after I was "academically suspended" for the last time (back in 1987), I moved to Boston to make it as a punk rocker and like most musicians, made my living as a sous chef and garde manger on Boylston Street. My how we come full circle! While I didn't have the ambition for CIA, I did boss around some grads and made them do lowly prep work!
While you did not supply me with the shortcut(s) I was looking for, as always I appreciate the info. Good luck at Harvard. For places to spend a summer or two studying, you could do a lot worse! And I agree with you, $18 +/- grand for a Harvard grad degree (extension or not) sounds like a bargain.
But a lot of hard work. Much luck with everything!
