One SDC course, 6 sh Upper Level in Philosophy

rachel83az Wrote:For TESU specifically, the most credits you can get out of 2 exams would be 10. But if you want maximum credit (and not pay lab fees), you could theoretically do:

Philosophy 301: Principles of Philosophy - 6 LL credits
Marketing 302: Consumer Behavior - 4 UL credits
Math 105: Precalculus Algebra - 4 LL credits (not sure why this is 4 credits and not 3; their own course is only 3 credits)
Statistics 101: Principles of Statistics - 4 LL credits (again, not sure why this is 4 credits and not 3)
Any other 3-credit class

Total credits: 21. Total cost: $235 + $70 x 3 = $445. $21.20/credit

Is it worth it? Probably not. I don't know what kind of degree plan that'd fit into. But it's an interesting thought experiment.

That would work for the TESU BALS degree, the BSBA GM, or Marketing option... It would really depend on the student and how they want to scramble their credits from multiple providers, it's a mix/match approach with ACE/NCCRS and RA credits for TESU students, for others, it's a slightly different mix.

From my Post#22, it's because they're pulling the numbers from NCCRS instead of ACE.  TESU does that for some kooky reason.

I saw in UMPI's DB that someone took this course.

It came as in UMPI as PHI 151 Introduction to Philosophy as 6 credits though won't work for UL.

It fulfills GE 2ABC, 4C, and 5D, which is the same as Sophia's Ethics course.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

Basically, I guess for those who want to have a 6 credit lower level alternative from Study.com, if they've got the membership, it's a viable option, one exam for 6 credits, that's $70 for the exam over the price of the monthly membership, and you get 6 credits instead of the usual 3, so within that month membership, and extra cost of exams, you can score 18 credits total...
