Penn Foster, which is NA accredited, offers courses that are ACE recommended. I found some CJ courses that I wanted to take but was having trouble signing up for individual courses. I tired to call the workforce development number but they were unable to help me. I was referred to another number. I called 1-800-238-9554 and spoke with an advisor. She helped me sign up for an individual course. She said that most of the courses cannot be signed up for online and must be signed up for over the phone. She said that you can sign up for up to 3 courses at one time. Some of the courses require a proctored exam and some don't. TESC will accept courses from Penn Foster only if there is a current ACE recommendation. Always make sure to check with ACE to see if the course is currently evaluated and check the expiration dates. The courses are $79 per credit. I was offered a payment plan, $79 up front, and $79/month. With the individual courses, they do not seem to worry too much about prerequisites.
Originally I had signed up for 3 courses but 1 course required quizzes, a project, several online discussions and webinars. The other 2 courses required quizzes and a proctored exam. I was told I would have to complete the coursework for all 3 courses before doing the proctored final. I was worried about finishing the 3rd class so I dropped it and it was easy to do.
