closing in on a decision!
#1
Hi!

I am just wondering if there is any way that I can go ahead and enroll, and pay and continue taking my CLEPS without paying the per credit fee for CLEPS...I don't care which of the big three (or any regionally accredied). I just want to get done fast but also not enroll so late that I am required to meet stricter guidelines to graduate.

Thanks!!!

Typically the advice given is to wait until you are within one year of finishing your degree before enrolling. This way you do not have to pay the extra fees for the second year.

Recently, several people have enrolled "early" at TESC because of its uncertain future.

Also, there are policy changes at EC - a new capstone requirement for Liberal Arts degrees and not accepting Subject GREs for credit - which seem to be starting for new enrollments after July 1, 2010. Several people have enrolled to take advantage of the current policies. (The risk of enrolling quickly is $1000 commitment and not having your transcripts evaluated. Plus, we still have not seen an official announcement of the new policies.)

I don't know what you mean by "per credit fee for CLEPs". I don't believe that any of the Big 3 have that. At EC, CLEP credits can be transferred and added to your degree requirements for free.

I hope this helps! Let us know what you decide.
