Here is another response.
Dear Ms. Hoff,
Thank you for contacting ALEKS. We are currently working with ACE to become one of their acredited programs. We will let you know if we are once again an ACE approved program.
Best regards,

It would be a smart business decision to forego ACE evaluation if the cost of having ACE evaluation outweighs the extra customers they could possibly attract with that.
Agreed, but they would not have decided it overnight. It would have been ethical had they put a pop up or a notice on their web site 30 or 60 days ago letting users know their intentions. Any company is free to choose what is right for their business but I am not talking legal aspects or business decisions here but the right thing to do.

If this is true then it could explain what's going on. Just a WAG here, but licensing ALEKS to colleges for use with their math courses would be far, far more lucrative than individual students taking ALEKS courses. No need for ACE review either.
Total WAG, but it wouldn't be the first online supplement McGraw-Hill has made available for colleges, and makes more sense than an arbitrary decision to let the review expire.

Multiple colleges already use ALEKS. University of Illinois uses it as a placement exam, and my local CC uses it AS THE MATH CLASS!

It is disturbing and unethical for ALEKS website to continue to suggest their courses/program are approved by ACE for college credit. They should at the very lease put a disclaimer.
