For those who have taken TECEP tests at locations other than TESC, how long did it take TESC to send you your score? I've just completed the first of several TECEPs I've got scheduled, and after being conditioned to the instant gratification and relief of instant scoring on CLEPs and DSSTs, I know the waiting for the TECEP score is going to be murderous...How long should I expect to suffer?

I took my first Tecep in mid December and still have not received my score. I contacted TESC to see how long it would take and they said normally around 2-3 weeks after the school receives your test. However, due to the school being closed for the holidays, they are now backed up and it will take longer. I scheduled my two Teceps a month apart hoping to have the first one graded before I took the next, so I could see at what level they graded, but thats not going to happen.

I have taken three TECEPs, the first two were multiple choices. I received the score on the fourteen-day after taking the exam. The last one, which had essays, took about a month to get the score back. I forgot that I took the exam, because it took them so long to grade it and send it to me.

My last TECEP was in September and I called everyday asking about my grades. Here is what I learned: Exams with an essay are sent out for grading, and exams w/o essays are graded in house.
Here is the path your test may be taking: After you write the exam your test is mailed to TESC which then sits on a desk until it is sent to the outside graders, then it is graded sent back to TESC and sits on someone’s desk to be imputed.
If you are in a serious hurry to get grades, I would call the testing department and sweet talk them into telling you which phase of review your test is at. Remember to be nice and act patient. This way if it is sitting at the bottom of a pile somewhere you can have it moved to the top. (This is what I did)

That's what I suspected, thank you all for confirming it for me. I took a multiple choice, scantron computer-scorable test, so I'll hope for 2 weeks...and if it's not scored by then, I'll be taking your advice and calling daily, Mae. Thanks again, all - much appreciated!

If you're a TESC student, they'll update your evaluation several days before you get the score they send. For my two no writing tests, it took them about 3 weeks. For my writing ones it was about a month.
