Ex-factor said that Excelsior is developing CBE capstones for the School of Liberal Arts. Other than the liberal arts program, what other liberal arts majors are test-friendly? I'm thinking maybe social science without a concentration. I know psychology and natural science aren't test-friendly.

Except for the liberal arts program, all of the School of Liberal Arts majors require a "Research and Writing in the Degree" course. Coopersmith Career Consulting and study.com offers Research Methods in Psychology, which might work for psych or even social science. I don't know about any other research methods courses for liberal arts.

Coopersmith Career Consulting has exams in the liberal arts and social sciences.
Rechtschaffen Institute of Judaic Studies offers many unique exams in the liberal arts. I found their website and setup to be a little difficult but you can contact them and ask for the study guides for the exams you want.
The exams are taken through Tor College Credits via ProctorU and webcam.
Although you asked about exams, I have to add Learning Counts portfolios. I earned upper-level humanities credits through portfolios for areas not covered by testing.

Research Methods is actually a separate requirement for EC's psych degree, so this wouldn't satisfy both.

In 2014, there were some very specific requirements for the Social Science degree that would have required courses from Excelsior.
TESC 2015 - BSBA, Computer Information Systems
TESC 2019 - 21 Post-bachelor accounting credits

Outside of the Research and Writing requirement, is liberal arts the only test-friendly degree in the School of Liberal Arts? The reason why I'm asking is because I like to have a good list of programs to recommend to people. I rarely recommend liberal arts, liberal studies, learner designed area of study, or individualized studies. I see those as last resort degrees that most people don't need to resort to.

Without knowing anything about EC's upper level course requirements or residency, and assuming that they're as liberal with accepting credit as TESU is, their psych BA looks pretty test friendly (minus research and writing/capstone).
When I get into my office in about an hour I can start a rough outline of what seems likely to work.

I won't do the General Ed requirements, but here are the area of study requirements. Looks like you need 18 upper level credits in area, however I know nothing about how EC transfers in other courses so I won't try to figure out which of these are or are not UL/LL.
General Psychology
CLEP, UExcel, Straighterline, Study.com, TorCC
Statistics (psychological or equivalent)
Because of that "psychological or equivalent" note, and because the EC catalog does not recommend the Stats UEXcel for this course, it looks like your standard intro to stats won't work here, unfortunately. So that severely limits options. The only thing I know of that should work here would be: ALEKS Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences
Research Methods/Experimental Design
UExcel, TorCC, Study.com
History and Systems/History of Psychology/Psychological Foundations
TorCC
Biological and Physiological Foundations
TorCC
Developmental Perspectives
DSST, UEXcel (either Lifespan Developmental Pych, Foundations of Gerontology, or Psychology of Aging will work according to EC catalog), Study.com (Lifespan Development, Psychology of Aging, or Human Growth & Development too), TorCC (Psychology of Adulthood & Aging, Human Growth & Development), TECEP Psychology of Women (as EC's online Psychology of Women course is suggested in the catalog, I imagine the TECEP would work)
Social Influences
UExcel, Study.com (Social Psychology)
Abnormal Psychology
UExcel, TECEP, TorCC, Study.com
Cognitive Bases
One of the recommendations in the catalog is Educational Psychology, so that gives us the possible options of CLEP, Study.com
Research and Writing in the Degree - Online Course
Capstone - Online Course (but possible UExcel coming for 2016?)
Area of Study Electives
It isn't really clear to me how many electives are needed here or what will be accepted, but here are some possible options...
TECEP Psychology of Women (if not used above), UExcel Organizational Behavior (also DSST or Straighterline), UExcel Foundations of Gerontology (if not used above), UExcel Psychology of Adulthood & Aging (if not used above), DSST Drug and Alcohol Abuse (if transfers in as Psych), DSST Fundamentals of Counseling, TorCC Psychology of Adulthood & Aging or Human Growth & Development (if not used above)...
That's what I got for now. There might be issues meeting UL requirements and such, but I'll let someone else work it out.
