Which College for 16yr old perusing BA degree

I would not recommend WGU for someone that age - it's going to take WAY too long to get, making it much too expensive. WGU is most good for older adults who have years of experience in a field, and want to quickly get through those courses and just take the remaining few quickly. Learning all new things for someone will take time, which you're basically penalized for in a CBE program.

Losing access to the reduced rate RA credits for HS students, social aspects and any sports considerations by graduating HS early should def be taken under consideration.

Being 16, I wouldn't rush into getting the Bachelors yet. It's great that they've got some ASU & Sophia.org courses under their belt, I would suggest working on 3 things. 1) Certs, 2) Degree, 3) Experience. For example, I would focus on the degree and volunteering for experience. Just make sure to take courses that will hit the prerequisites for the Bachelors if there are any required. In terms of certs/exp, you can try the various Google IT Certs that provide ACE credit, the FREE TEEX Cybersecurity ones, and maybe take some FREE coding camps...

Again, easy enough to rectify: take the GED. Or, if being homeschooled, it's easy enough to use the completed college courses to certify completion of the HS curriculum early. It's not like EC doesn't allow even younger students to graduate with a degree. They do. There was a 13-year-old a few years back.

For the GED, it depends on where you live. I am in Florida and the GED is controlled by the local school district.It is "theoretically" possible to take the GED before 18, but good luck with that.

That said, it is from 2018. I think that there have been some changes since then, but not entirely sure about that.

I thought you could only transfer in 90 credits from one provider. This shows way more than that. Although my son does have several Sophia courses so I could likely use this as a guide for the rest.

I know TESU has a 90 credit per provider limit. Not sure about EC. Even so, you can certainly use Sophia, Davar, and Coopersmith courses to replace at least some of the SDC courses.

Excelsior doesn't have a limit from any provider, you can take as many as you want from any ACE/NCCRS provider, you just need the minimum 7 credits from them. Having said that, you can use the partners site for Study.com to get the upper level credits for your selective degree, the BSIT is the only one from the list mentioned above that is relatively hard to get as courses are hard to find that transfers in... otherwise, you can use Sophia.org for the lower level requirements and Study.com for the upper level requirements and/or anything not offered at Sophia.org, the final 7 credits must be completed at Excelsior.

I know for a fact these some of these are outdated.  But some are good.  Not sure why the IT one is there, it has nothing to do with Study.com.
