Statistics question
#1
So for those that have taken the Statistics exam: When you say memorize the formulas or equations, do you mean those nasty looking things with the greek symbols? Or is it sufficient to know how to compute it with REAL numbers?

Those "things" are so bloody ugly! I have a mental block when it comes to them.

I did memorize the formulas the way they were written with the Greek symbols. But I don't think those symbols matter so much as long as you just understand what those symbols mean and represent. There really isn't that many formulas that you absolutely must know for the test. The good thing is the formulas mostly build on each other. Like the Sample Standard Deviation is just the square root of the Sample Variance! I know you will do really great! I got one of my highest CLEP/DSST scores on this one and I never took a Statistics course! Smile

Hi categ,

I am also attending UMUC. Hopefully if I Clep / DSST around 50 credits, I can graduate by next spring. I will be taking the statistics test within the next two weeks. Could you let me know how your test goes? Thanks and congrats for all of your success thus far.

Hi Categ,

I am pursuing the Business Management degree. I am currently enrolled in the EXCL 301 class which allows me to try and earn up to 30 college credits for experiential learning. Since this is my lightest semester, I am also trying to get all of my testing done before I start my next semester. If everything goes according to plan, I should have my degree next spring. What are you taking?

Business management, also. Hope to graduate in May if I can get past Statistics exam....and the last few classes. I hope the capstone course, Strategic Mgt isn't too tough. It starts this month.
