Iam going to take the Bachelor's Degree in Buisness Administration, Management and Leadership. I have a prior transcript with ENG Composition I and a bunch of computer classes. I know there are 5 classes I have to take at UMPI as there is no Sophia or Study.com equivalent. They are,
- BUS 489 - Buisness Policy and Strategy
- BUS 469 - Strategic Professional Communication
- BUS 440 - Buisness Analytics
- BUS 325 - Financial Management and
- BUS 200 - Intermediate Buisness Computing
I still need 5 more courses to meet the 30 credit minimum. What would you recommend? I'm looking for the 5 easiest classes to take at UMPI instead of Sophia or Study.com. I've seen some people on here suggest the following, but IDK.
- BUS 245 - for the language GE course
- ENG 121 - English Composition II
- PCJ 215- Buisness Communication
- MAT 140 - Buisness Math and
- POS 101 - America Government
Thanks in advance!

Hi Brandon. I'm pretty much in the exact same situation that you are except I don't have all of the computer credits you do. I'm working in Sophia and Study classes and looking to transfer around 90 credits into UMPI. Same degree. I'm at 40 as of today and wondering the exact same thing as you. I have not done English Comp I or II yet or Business Math and I have decided, after some research to do both at UMPI because it just sounds better there and I don't feel like dealing with the headache of the Sophia grading situation. I did Workplace communication on Sophia, which would be in place of Business Communication I believe-and I thought it was easy, grading was fast (within 3 days) and I enjoyed th class. As far as the BUS 245 for language- I have no idea about that. I took US government on Sophia and it wasn't bad at all. It involved writing two template-based question and answer essays. You do have to do some research and cite sources in APA style, which was a bit of a learning curve for me since I haven't been in college for 25 years, but I'm satisfied that I did it on Sophia. It was pretty quick and I enjoyed the projects. They were both graded the same day. So that is my experience with those classes. I’m definitely in agreement with you on the Business Math and English Comp. I'll definitely be taking those at UMPI. Good luck to you!
