Quick question -
Going for a BSBA at TESC - not sure which specific focus yet - but, I was wondering if the following courses that I've already taken or planning to take through a traditional CC will transfer for their respective reqs at TESC:
Fundamentals of Speech Communication - for "Managerial or Business Comm"
Business Calculus - for "Precalculus Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis"
Intro to Microcomputer Usage - for "Computer Concepts and Applications, etc."
I can find out the first and third when I submit my application, but the second one - Business Calculus - is what I'm specifically wondering about. Will that satisfy the pre-calc requirement?
Thanks!
Scott

I can't say for sure but it does seem like it would transfer. Anything with calculus in the title should do.

I would think Business Calculus would satisfy the requirement, but you probably want to make sure.

Thanks, Farmerboy and Inwe.
My problem is that they won't let me speak with advisement unless I'm enrolled, which I don't plan to do before I take the BCalc class. Maybe I'll try them again and hope I speak with a different person!

I was in the same situation......Your speech class will NOT transfer a business communications course. It will be placed under humanities. Sorry.

i am needing some of the same courses.
i must say though, i wish i had applied to TESc sooner, they transferred in so many of my courses that Excelsior had declined.
it puts me in such a good place to finish, if i can stay focussed and stop letting other issues displace my studying.

Would you be willing to share the name of some of the classes EC declined that TESC accepted? Thanks!

The only one you'll likely have issues with is the communications class, the class you'll need focuses on business communication, i.e., writing emails, business letters, etc.
I m edumakated thanx to distunce lerning.

I have experienced the same from Excelsior, the denial of a large block of credits from my local (B&M RA) community college. These courses were not remedial or PE and the age factor was not an issue.
