My prior school had a degree calculator tool. I could select a desired degree, it showed which of my existing credits counted towards that degree and which courses I still needed to get the degree. I could select any degree in the school to see how far I was away from graduating. Additionally, there were a search tool for finding out if a course from another school would transfer to my school and which course it was found equivalent to. Does TESU have such a tool?

Once you've applied, you can run an academic eval on various degrees in student services.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Yes, like davewill said, it's the Unofficial Academic Evalution in Online Student Services.
You can choose different degrees than the one you're enrolled in to see how many credits are completed in each section.
However some credits will get put in the wrong place sometimes. Just contact them to get things moved around.
For your other question, TESU has some equivalency charts but not a tool. But most of us on this forum are just doing Study.com, SL, Saylor, Shmoop, CLEP, etc. and we talk about the equivalencies.

No tool for finding course equivalencies. Here in CA, we have that too - it's called ASSIST, and you can see which courses from the state CC's transfer to the state CSU/UC's, and back and forth between CSU/UC's - because they use a C-ID number for courses (so basically a set course ID number for many courses in the system). You can't see schools outside our state system, including out-of-state schools or private in-state universities.

"What if" I change my Degree checkers are very cool. All of my CC's have them. I do not find that Excelsior College has one?

TESU has one at the bottom of https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/Transfer-Credit.cfm it is just not that expansive. Mostly includes schools in NJ, but there is a smattering of random outside schools included.

Yes, but for the Uexcels take care to look at the course prefix ending with an X, for example ACCX212 instead of ACC212. I posted a spreadsheet earlier this year with this information and I recall that most of the equivalencies were the same for the courses as the Uexcels, but there were a few exceptions. I can't recall the specific examples offhand.
