Hey everyone! I've looked far and wide as to where to get cheap upper level credits that would satisfy some of information systems concentration core, but I've not had much luck finding any on the Internet. On the bright side, I could take these as classes at COSC since this concentration's class load is offered fully online. But since I'm paying out of pocket, I'd like to cut corners if possible. Anyone know of anything out there that might help?
I found a tech oriented TECEP that would count as UL but that's about the extent of it....

Management Information Systems DSST is the only UL IT type thing I am aware of. There are 2 lower level DSST/CLEP in IT.
Also, some schools will recognize certs as credits. My school (UMUC) took almost all of mine (Sec+, CCNA, CISSP, etc). However they got applied as LL credits only, even though all the classes are 300/400 equivalents. It actually kind of messed me up, as now I have to avoid classes that would be easier for me, and they do not offer that many IT UL classes.
What about other UL credits outside of IT? Substance Abuse, Civil War, etc are all doable with a bit of study.
CLEP
A&I Literature (63) - History I (61) - Intro. Psychology (60) - Intro. Sociology (55) - Inf. Sys. & Computer Apps. (76) College Math (58) Intro. Management (60)
DSST
Substance Abuse (444) - Here's To Your Health (425) - Management Info. Systems (474) - The Civil War & Reconstruction (62) Astronomy (66)

TESC's Network Technology TECEP and the MIS DSST are it I am afraid.
Most certificates don't work. I have a gazillion certs and only the old MCSD and MCSE is good for upper level. I got 7 credits of upper level with the MCSD but at the time my MCSE was considered "retired" so TESC gave me no credit for it.

Which MCSE did you have? I have MCSE for Server 2003 and I fear this is the case with me too.

Home allows you to get nine credits (4 lower level and 5 upper level ????).
But I do not know if the upper level will be recognized by TESC, I do not know need them as my
degrees are almost complete.
Does anybody has any direct experience in applying the javaonline credits in any of the big three.
Thank you in advance for your replies.
