Any certifications or military experience? None
Budget: I'd like to go the cheapest route possible, but will consider spending more for easier (open book) courses. I am also eligible for military discount (as a spouse), if that is available.
Commitments: I am a stay at home mom and my husband is deployed. I do all the cooking, cleaning/maintaining our home, and keeping our kids alive by myself. I have 2 homeschooled teens who are also working on their degree and I help them as much as I can.
Dedicated time to study: I estimate at least 6 hours every week day and 8 hours total on the weekends. Roughly 30+8=38 hours
Timeline: I completed all of the Sophia credits in 2 weeks, so I am highly motivated, but I have MS, which has left me with severe memory issues. My ability to process new information has diminished considerably, which has been devastating. Once I complete every open book course that I can, the speed at which I will be able to complete a class will unfortunately slow down.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None
After creating business degree plans and watching my teens work their way through sophia courses, I decided that I want to go back to school and earn my own degree. As stated above, I have MS and struggle retaining new information. Ideally, I would like to be able to do open book courses for the vast majority of my degree if possible. I know that sophia and lawshelf both allow open book, but if there are any other resources you could recommend, I would greatly appreciate it. I am currently putting everything together to submit for Pierpont's BOG degree. Afterwards, I am looking at a liberal arts degree in order to check the box of having a bachelors, but I am having a difficult time figuring out where I should get the Liberal Arts degree from. I would love to get some feedback on which college/university you would recommend. I can also post the list of the other sophia courses I plan on taking if that is helpful. Thank you so much!

I think you're going to have the most luck with UMPI, because most of their courses are based on writing a paper rather than taking an exam, which may be a much better option for you; and it's the cheapest.
I'd continue at Sophia and do Spanish and 8-9cr of easy courses for general electives; and then sign up at Study.com and do Bio 101L: Biology w/Lab as well as REL 101: Intro to World Religions, GEO 101: Human & Cultural Geography or SOC 101: Intro to Sociology (choose 1 of the 3). That will get you to 90cr, at which point you enroll at UMPI and take both English Comp courses, Creative Decision Making, and the courses in your major, as well as any UL courses you need to take.

@NBM123, Welcome to the board! Hey, you may want to continue with Pierpont BOG AAS and ladder up to the UMPI BLS, if you're already thinking of going with them for the BOG AAS, it'll be an easier option to then ladder up to the UMPI BLS. They're one of the main universities we recommend here due to them accepting 75% of alternative credit transfer.
Having said that, you may also want to take a look at this partnership, to get a competency 'project/work' based degree at SNHU / Gateway U... https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...e-Provider

UMPI WIKI Link, check out their Majors/Minors: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
Oh, and as a backup plan option, you should review your previous threads, just in case Excelsior University would be an option for you. The main difference is the way you get the 30 UL credits at Excelsior or the 30 residency credits at UMPI. Basically, close to 90 credits would be the same, using mainly Sophia.org for lower level and Study.com for upper level...

As far as I can see, you've already met the requirements for the Pierpont degree. You just need to apply, submit your transcripts, and graduate. If you want an Area of Emphasis, I think taking one more history class at Sophia would give you a History AoE. Or pick up a FREE Coursera certificate through TADA and get an AoE in Information Systems. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera The Coursera certificates are all open book, so they should work for you.
For the Bachelor's degree, I would definitely recommend UMPI for someone who has memory issues. ss20ts has also posted in the past about having memory issues and was able to complete a UMPI degree relatively quickly/easily. You might want to PM her about her experiences to get a better idea of what it's like.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

After getting my kids set up with their degree plan, I decided that I would like to join them. I am looking at a different degree and university than my kids, so I am trying to navigate this and would love any insight you can give.
Things to Note:
- Everything in Green has been completed
- I know that most people say to only take 10 classes at UMPI (I have 12 written down), but I heard that American Government and Creative Decision Making are both very simple classes that can be finished in just a few days, so I would rather take them on UMPI than pay to take them through Study. If anyone has suggestions for classes that are easier on study than UMPI that I have right now, let me know and I could switch them around.
- I am not sure the best place to do sociology, so I am still deciding between CLEP, Study, and Sophia. Any insight into what is the easiest?
- I saw someone say that Principles of Marketing will come in as UL. Is there any particular source for this? Will CLEP work?

American Government is a very easy class to complete in a few days. It's an easy way to get an A. Who can't use an easy A, right? I definitely wouldn't pay to take it elsewhere.
Here's the CLEPs UMPI accepts:

Sophia is probably the easiest and fastest way to complete a course. Cheap too!
Principles of Marketing is a UL course at UMPI. That's why it transfers in as UL. Same with Sophia's Business Law.

Thank you to everyone that replied. Your information was very helpful. I put together a degree plan. If anyone has time to take a look at it, I would appreciate it. I want to make sure that I have the right information.

- I saw Federicojavier post that Principles of Marketing and Principles of Management CLEP tests come in as UL BUS 325 & BUS 330. I want to make sure this is accurate. If not I can change both of those to UL from study.

You have posted this on multiple threads. No need to do that. I gave you info about UMPI on your other thread.

Thank you for the CLEP info. Based on that, it looks like I need to switch out Principles of Management with an UL from Study. Any suggestions for the best place to take sociology? It looks like I have to take 3 classes from Study (Bio 101L, Leading Organizational Change, and another UL to replace the Principles of Management) so would you suggest I take sociology or Critical thinking through Study instead in order to have 4 exams? Any experience with taking sociology though Study?
