Where Can I Find Straighterline?
#1
Please forgive my ignorance but I am somewhat new and would like to know what Straighterline is, where it can be found, and its purpose in relation to CLEP, DSST, or any of the other credit granting exams out there.

No, you're not! I thank you for the information and I actually found the site a little later after I wrote the question. If anything, it would appear that I am the "a@#" for asking before researching. Again, thank you for the information.

However, from what I saw, it appears that the CLEP and DSST exams are more universial than SL, given that SL transfers to only the "partner colleges" right?

Yes, that is correct. There are a lot of people on this forum who have earned or are earning degrees from the "Big 3" (Thomas Edison State College, Excelsior, Charter Oak). Those colleges accept courses that are ACE Approved (which many SL courses are). So it is important in your degree path to try and determine where you will eventually get your degree.

As you noted, the most universally accepted are CLEP's, then DSST's, then to a lesser degree ACE.

Now you specifically asked about Straighterline, so you should be aware of this....FHSU will accept 4 SL courses Acct I, Acct II, Macro and Micro and will give graded credit for them. In this instance, you have SL send the final scores to FHSU, you pay a $30 non-degree seeking student enrollment fee and a week later you have a graded transcript from FHSU which should then be accepted by any college.

As always, first check with your college as to what CLEP's, DSST, ACE credit or other college transcripts will be accepted.
