I'm prepping for my first of 7 needed CLEPS to graduate in May.
When do you know it's time to just do it and take the test?
First one: Principles of MGT and i'm at a 65-70% on all of the tests I've taken online. (REA/Free-Clep, etc).
When do I stop obsessing and take the plunge?
I'm a very nervous test taker

If you feel you understand the concepts, and not just then answers to the questions on the practice tests then you are ready for the exam.
3 to 4 days of study is usually all I need for a 3 credit hour CLEP or DSST. As long as it's not a Math related topic...lol
Best of luck to you on your exam. Remember if you are asking the question then you are probably ready!

My practice test scores (which I like to be over 65%) + that gut feeling...when you feel adequately prepared. The Management Clep isn't hard and your PT scores look good! I'd say you're ready. Also, after a few tests, you'll get the hang of it and learn to tell when you're ready.

thanks to both of you
Just took free-clep-test and got a 89! I'm scheduling for Friday AM. This is my major and i've been in business for 13 years so I'm scared to fail my first one and give up.
I'll update later

thanks again!

I used Peterson practice tests most of the time as a guide. The cost can add up at $20 a pop, but a free way is to use the tests in the back of REA books (check your library). There are some free online prep tests, but I can't really vouch for their reliability/validity, since most of them came out after I'd finished my testing journey, but they exist too. If you're an IC member here, of course the specific exam feedback section is worth a million dollars!
AFTER you have taken a few exams, you'll start to get a better feeling as to how ready you are. I think you'll develop "testing acumen" as you get a few under your belt, and can proceed with a little more confidence. Not confidence in passing every test, but confidence about knowing WHEN you're ready to test.
Finally, look at it this way, even if you fail the test, you are getting an inside look- and that experience you can take with you into the next test. A community college class runs about $300, so look at it this way, you can fail about 3 times on the same exam before it's more expensive than the class!

When I get sick and tired of looking at the course material and want to just barge into the test center and get it over with. :p
More like when I'm making decent practice test scores. Yours look great! However, there may be more truth in the above statement than I like to admit...I have a short attention span. :roflol:

I was going to say what snickerdoodle said. I was very serious on every single test (I took 19 & passed all). However, there was a point when I was sick and tired of the subject and that's when I took the test. Sounds like you're ready, TheGuards - Go do it!
