What was/will be your grad gift to yourself?
#1
Husband: "So, what are you getting?"
Me: "Huh?"
Husband: "When you finish up the degree. What are you getting yourself?"

Good question. I hadn't even thought about getting myself a graduation gift, other than a nice frame to offset the cheap-looking Excelsior diploma. Rolleyes Now, of course, I want a present! I've set my budget at $240 to match the cost of 3 DSSTs, but that's it so far. Never thought spending money would be so difficult. :p

Has anyone made plans for a touch of self-indulgence after all the hard work is done?

I got some beautiful earrings from my hubby. They match my wedding ring! They were a total splurge item- I am sooooooo not a girly girl in that way. I literally own 2 pair of earrings lol. Honestly, I should have returned them and bought the double frame I want! But, I kept them Big Grin

Well, I just graduated from highschool, and my parents gift to me is a fine Dell XPS Laptop. It will be here by my best friend's birthday. Big Grin

I think my college gift to myself will be a car. If I have enough money by then...

Yes, assisted living....my thoughts exactly. I'm gonna be 50 in less than a month so actually getting a degree will be my gift to myself. Smile

Now, just to get started. That's the hard part.

Well, I guess that's better than a nursing home. You left yourself a cushion, that's good.

DO IT....DO IT....DO IT!!! I turned 50 (aarrgghh, wait who said that?) this past September and hope to be finished by next spring (2010). It is something I never really thought I would do but now...finally...I see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. I can seriously let myself think of graduation. Never thought that would happen.

Get going, you can do it if my lazy "something" can do it.
