So im working on my AA and well the school I want to go to afterwards requires:
General Physics w Calculus
Calculus w Analytical Geometry
Im trying to make a good plan to give me a chance to level up my fair algebra and maybe pass these courses. Outside of prayer. How might you fine scholars level up for this?
I've only got 4 semesters and 2 summers to do this in....and I want to be formidable with the Calculus because i'm going to need it later.
I have about 7 weeks till fall semester...and I figure maybe I can just level up my Algebra in that time on my own. And for first fall semester instead of College Algebra maybe take Trigonometry and Geometry at the same time ? ? Is that crazy?
Then take Pre Calculus Spring Semester...then Summer take College algebra for the credit needed.
Then next fall take Gen phys w Calc...then spring Calc w Geometry.
Do u think I have a chance like this ? Im making some progress with my Algebra right now.
These are courses not Cleps I doubt I could dare for a clep when Im probably going to have a hard time with the courses straight up.
Please let me know what you think.....Id like a shot at succeeding with these 2 courses. Any experiences or better directions are valuable to me.
Thank you. Im working !! I swear ! ..currently hazelnut coffee of bjs brand makes up for 90% of my diet.

I wouldn't worry too much about Geometry. You should get enough of what you need in Precalculus and Trigonometry. The biggest advice I can give is take full semesters of each rather than taking them over the summer. In the meantime, I would jump onto Aleks and work through College Algebra to exercise the math skills. You will need lots of repetition. It is critical to get a good understanding beyond just computational skills if you are going to succeed in Calculus. I tried to cram beginning algebra through Calculus in two years and found that I just didn't retain enough to get comfortable with Calculus.

So you think maybe I should try to level up to Algebra 2 in the next 7 weeks via Aleks and Khan. Then aim for:
First semester take Trigonometry.
Second - Precalculus.
Summer - Geometry
Third - Calculus w Analytical Geometry
Fourth - Gen Physics w Calculus.
or skip Trig in favor of Algebra 2 first semester? And let Precalculus introduce me to Trig?
Im in fear. lol . I may cut back sleep to 4 hours these whole 7 weeks. Im trying for night and day study routine right now.

doesn't college algebra + trig = pre calculus ?
just seems like pre calc would be nothing more than a review by that point

I think your right blueb. I been reading up on it and books. Looks like pre calc is a review sort of speaks.
Looking more like, and if the school allows, also if my scores allow:
2nd part of summer and if available NOW like this week: College Algebra (required for Pre calc+Trig)
1st sem: Pre Calculus +Trigonometry (required for below)
2nd sem: Calculus with Analytical Geometry I
summer: Physics alone or Pre Calc Algebra or Geometry
3rd sem: Calculus with Analytical Geometry II (Required for below)
4th sem: Physics w Calculus
My memory is not so good but my practicing and grasping of concepts is pretty good but first I have to cram them in there for that to take hold.
Do they really expect u to memorize that trig table? my mind responds with a quick and unadjustable fugg off.
Im trying to learn to love math if I want to succeed here.
I went through an older book that was inspiring last night tho...it made pre calc simplified and honed in on it's most basic and important components. Actually the author took a dump on others for over complexing the subjects that are of most importance....its given me a glimmer of hope. Alongside another article that read these things were taught to everyone back in the day...it just got lost for sometime though.
Do you think the above is do able? or since Im fairly behind dont even attempt it?

Thanks for the summer vote! lol
If i dont take the Pre calc and Trig combined, then the requirement turns into Pre Calculus Algebra and a separate Trigonometry class,
to be able to take Calc w Geo I.
Im wondering if maybe I should just take them both separately first semester? Altho I'd rather not risk my GPA by trying both concurrently.
If I dont score high enuff to take that College Algebra course or if its no longer available since id be enrolling fairly late this week....im wrenched. Or will have to consider a clep which I imagine will be 10x harder than just the summer course of it.
Im at it though im pounding the brain. With a little luck maybe I can at least attempt to follow this outline. And with proper moon alignments pass.

man o man what did I sign up for?

Honestly if possible I would do Calculus III before Physics I+II, I really wish I had waited to do that in retrospect since the physics would have made a whole lot more sense in the context of multi-variate analysis.
Maybe not so much help in your situation, just a bit of general advice.
