I took the College Composition modular, but was trying to take the English Composition (they're both CLEP tests). What's the difference, or are they the same? I specifically said I wanted to take the English comp. but when I got to the testing site, it was College comp.!

Two tests exist, College Composition and College Composition Modular. The difference is the College Composition exam has two essays graded by CollegeBoard and the Modular version may or may not have an essay attached (depends on the school).
It depends where you attend school to determine if they'll take one over the other.
TESC takes both but the modular version is only good for three credits instead of six.
Read this link for info on the test differences...
College Composition | CLEP
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.
