What is my problem?!
#1
I am so irritated with myself. I spent all weekend messing around doing other things besides taking my last business law test and scheduling final exam. I am going to take an internet break. No more forum hopping, shopping or projects around the house till I have conquered business law!
Hopefully by Friday. I'm going to schedule my final for Friday!

I feel your pain. I am enrolled in the College Algebra TECEP for the September Term, I have until 11/22 to take the exam, and I've come to a screeching halt studying for it. I think it's because I KNOW I will never need this info (getting my degree in HR, worked for 10 years in Accounting/HR/Compensation and never used any kind of math more difficult than adding or subtracting basically), so it makes it really hard to buckle down and actually learn something I don't care about or need. But, starting TODAY, I will get my act together and study and get this stupid thing DONE!!

I think we all go through this at some point in our journey. There is nothing wrong with you. It is more like a writers block. This often happens when it is a subject your not crazy about, but it can happen even on a fun subject. The only remedy I know of is give yourself a little break don't feel guilty or even think about the subject for a day or two and then go back and just say I will spend 30 min. now and then take a break before you know it you are done.

Good luck and don't berate yourself too much, it is normal and this to shall pass.

Another idea is that a large number of us on this forum didn't get our degrees when we were 22 because we have ADD-like behavior. We procrastinate. A chicken crosses the road, and our attention is taken away from what we should be attending to. You may need to just schedule your tests, and that will act as the motivator to stop futzing around.

Just remember. A limit has been set to your time. You won't live forever, and you won't have forever to get this degree. Get to it.

Oh boy... that is so me! Here I am on degreeforum with multiple tabs open (Amazon, fb, TESC, oh and "Best-of-Both-Worlds Vegan Carrot Cake" anyone? -- and I'm not even a vegetarian) while I am supposed to be working on my English homework.

Sometimes you just need a break. Your mind will go awol for a few days if you don't.

I once did two months of solid work, study and house repairs, and left no time to relax. At the end, I sat for three days in a dark room, ate takeaways and played computer games non-stop Tongue

Plan your week. Make a schedule for study time and plan in time to take a break and just relax.
Taking a bit of time out to exercise also increases your energy to get through work.

Life is weird this way for everybody.
Most of the knowledge of our bachelors, will never be used in practice.
Still, we need to learn in order to finish the degree.

I am in a somewhat similar situation, from 2001 to 2006 I was a great accounting analyst dealing with reports, financial statements, reconciliation, supply chain software.
Today my recent experience is in translation, and customer service. But nobody wants to hire me in accounting, even if I am better than the majority of the candidates.
Why, they want somebody with recent experience.
