What classes/order for Study.com?
#1
So I'm a Guardian Scholarship recipient, plus I plan to take advantage of whatever Study.com classes I can. I also like Straighterline's format, so for a lot of the classes that can be done in both places, I'm not sure which one to pick.

I was wondering if those more knowledgeable than me could help me determine the most efficient course of action for what classes I can take? I'm looking for 1)level of difficulty and 2) overlap (since I know a lot of courses share those pesky lessons and quizzes). I'm not afraid of a difficult class, of course, but I know sometimes the order you take stuff in can make a difference!

Classes:
Diversity: Religion, Sociology (SL or SC)
Business Ethics (SL or SC)
Civic Engagement: Political Science, American Government (SL or SC)
Psychology (SL or SC)
Humanities (SL or SC)
Anatomy (SL or SC)
Introduction to Marketing (SC)
Principles of Finance (SC)
Business Communications (SL or SC)
Advanced Financial Accounting (SC)
Human Resource Management (SC)
International Management (SC)
Operations Management (SC)
Organizational Behavior (SL or SC)

Is there any courses listed here that have any significant amount of lesson/quiz overlap? Also, any tips/advice for these would be helpful! Smile

I'm not sure how many of those have overlap on study. I know some of them have placement tests - take those first, as many times as they will let you because it helps finish up some of those quizzes. I know Org Behavior has a placement test. Sociology has some overlap with social psychology. What is your desired degree? Aim to take the courses that come in as UL if they aren't available elsewhere.

Yo! You have solved it yourself, take all the ones available at SL at Straighterline.
If you see the list you have and only Study.com is available, take it at Study.com
Straighterline for the Speed, Study.com for the ease... that's the way it goes bro.

Haha well I'm doing a minimum of 5 at Study.com because of the scholarship, so...which five? Wink

I'll look into the placement tests...I know I saw that option being available when I was looking up classes but I didn't actually take any. I'll look it up and see how many of them I can test out of.

Is there any easy way to look up what classes come in as UL, or should I just go to the equivalency guides and look at the TESU course numbers?

I'm aiming to finish my BSBA-GM this October...taking the capstone exam in the June course so I just squeaked in. Some of these courses I'm taking now as a way to help "study" for the capstone since they cover similar concepts. I plan to take the exam in July or August.

The following are required and optional courses for your BSBA GM, and just so happens, ALL of them are upper level and will work for you.
Cherry pick the other three, or in fact, spend $70 on the final course and be over with your Area Of Study (almost, take 2 more from SL).

Introduction to Marketing (SC) - Required
Principles of Finance (SC) - Required
Advanced Financial Accounting (SC)
Human Resource Management (SC)
International Management (SC) - Required
Operations Management (SC)

The ones that you need for your degree which SL doesn't offer.

Grab 5 UL courses that you need for the AOS from Study.com with the scholarship. They are the hardest to find, although not so much anymore with the General Management degree. The others can mostly be found from multiple formats.
