Or just for personal knowledge. It is a good option if you need to take a lot of breaks between terms and need to declare a program later
Ah, true, that's a good point. Certainly cost effective enough to warrant a class here or there just to see how I like it! It's been a little while since undergrad for me and I have shied away from committing to any one program. I did take a random graduate level art class from my alma mater just to see how I liked it. I'm getting to the point where if I want a graduate degree I should do it - why not? Mostly why I joined the forum - to explore. I'm seeing a lot of people around here take a class or two for fun - so I'm warming up to the idea!

I can relate Cowabunga Dude. I got my BA in 1997. I looked into doing a second bachelors for quite some time. I jumped on every free and cheap option I could find. I did a free MBA term at Walden last year and learned that CBE is not for me. I procrastinate way too much. But the program itself wasn’t bad at all. The cost is just too high for the non-CBE. I am now finishing up my first term with JWMI MBA (link to thread in my signature). I am doing great and I really like it. But slow and steady is the pace for me. I think it also helps that I did some unofficial “pre-learning” on Coursera, etc. If I continue the program, I’ll probably try to learn about Marketing before the next class begins because that is the next course.
All that is to say… go for it. If you have your bachelors and there’s a masters you are looking at…. Go for it. Whether it’s grabbing courses from ACE, or fulling enrolling in a program… go for it.

Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the encouragement. This is a good forum, full of people trying to learn and better themselves. I feel like I'm in really good company and I'm glad I joined! Side note, I come from a marketing background so always wrestling with if a MS/Marketing or MBA is the best path for me. When programs like this MS/Sustainability come up it certainly muddies the water! Sometimes I procrastinate too - paralysis by analysis - that's my Achilles heel. I guess just a matter of prioritizing which one to do first!!

Suggestion: go for a Master's degree you want that isn't an MBA. Then, for personal knowledge, do the
ENEB MBA; with or without the additional Master's. ENEB has MBA + Master in Digital Marketing & eCommerce for slightly less than $500 on Groupon.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thanks for the suggestion! If I end up doing ACE MS Sustainability in any capacity, I'll be sure to document my experience here to share with those interested.

ACE has some very affordable programs. I have been thinking about doing one of their Graduate Certificates in Content Area Instruction specializing in Mathematics so I can meet the qualification to teach math at the college level. Their courses in that program seem a lot less abstract oriented and more pedagogical focused which is what I am looking for considering that i have not taken a math course in nearly 15 years. I use to teach at my local community college which is also my alma mater but was only a provisional adjunct instructor which limited me to only teaching non-credited and non-transferable math courses. I eventually left after they started limiting the course load to 3 courses a semester when they use to allow up to 5 with the occasional overload of 6 or 7. I have a career in Healthcare IT making much more than I would as a full time college instructor but I am still feeling as though I should complete the 18 hour certificate in case I find myself wanting to teach math again and would meet the qualification.

Or better yet find an ENEB graduate here in the ambassador program and get one of the dual Masters degrees for just under $300!
