Hi, new here. I was wondering if anyone who's taken the Western Civ I CLEP Exam could tell me if these scores seem good enough to get a 57 or higher.
REA:
Diagnostic - 75%
Practice Test 1 - 75%
Official CLEP Practice Test - 80%
REA
Practice Test 2 - 82%

Why a 57? that seems rather high to Require for credit. Anyways to answer your question, yes your probably ready to take the test. However, I would still hit any target areas you may still have and not assume you a ready to go. Not sure how your testing center works but mine I have to sign up way before the test so I don't get to make sure I'm ready. I either am ready or not ready. 80% on the CLEP Practice test should be your best bench mark. Also let me know how it goes, this may be a CLEP I take but I haven't decided yet. I need to do Macro and Human Growth and Dev and then I will focus on other ones.

Thanks for responding.
It is a higher bar. I don't know why but my school's history CLEPs have a much higher bar than other ones. I'll be taking it very soon so I'm going to study a lot over the next couple of days and I'll let you know how it goes.

I got a 70. The REA book and practice tests are great for this test. There were only a handful questions not covered in it. I also quickly read through chapters 1-14 of A History of Western Society by McKay which probably helped also. The REA book was the best resource though.

Thanks for updating on this, makes it seem like a very good option for me if needed.
