I want to get a BOG AAS quickly. I haven't had credits evaluated formally yet. I would like to get input from here first. I have read all the threads I could find
I am hoping I can join Shmoop for one month, work hard, and have everything done. I'd only need 2-3 at Shmoop but I'd try to do more during the month (toward Bachelors degree credits). Am I missing anything?
1. COM 1: AP English Lang & Comp 4
2. COM 2: Shmoop Lit course 3 (see question below)
3. SCI: AP Physics E&M 5
4. MATH: ALEKS College Algebra 3
5. SOC 1: Shmoop US History I 3
6: SOC 2: Shmoop Modern European History 3
7. COMP: TEEX Cybersecurity courses 4
8: ELEC 1: Excelsior Information Literacy 3
9. ELEC 2: ALEKS Trigonometry 3
10. ELEC 3: AP Chemistry 4
11. ELEC 4: AP Chemistry 4
12. ELEC 5: B&M Psychology 3
13. ELEC 6: ALEKS Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences 3
14. ELEC 7: AP Calculus AB 4
15. ELEC 8: AP Biology 4
16. ELEC 9: AP Biology 4
17. ELEC 10: Pharmacy course credit for CPhT certification 3+
18. ELEC 11: EMT course credit for certification 3+
19. ELEC 12: Sophia Developing Effective Teams 1
I'm going for a concentration in Biological Sciences or Natural Sciences (prefer Biological), because I don't seem to have enough credits in other areas. (I assume they won't give me credit for the GRE Psych. I do need a Psych degree more than Biological Sciences.)
I'm assuming I get credit for two Chem course and two Bio courses, since ACE recommends 8 credits for each exam.
TESU apparently gives 6 credits for CPhT. Many schools give 6 credits for EMT, but many give only 3-4.
Some schools apparently give 6 credits for the AP English Lang & Comp (but ACE recommends 3).
And is there anything I need to know about using these credits toward the Bachelors? I am torn between COSC and TESU, and I might consider a non-Big Three (even though there are residency requirements). (To avoid confusion: for the Associates degree I want it very cheap, so I don't want COSC or TESU for Associates. But I should have some financial aid for the Bachelors.)
