Is it OK if I private message you about your experience? Unless you want to post about it publicly -- I would read that, too.

You can ask here, I will answer publicly no worries

I won't hijack and I don't want to start a thread about my experiences, lol, but I loaded everything in to my plan, started with the top three competencies (you can work on three at a time). I went in the exact order every time.
1) Initial post to the instructor for engagement
2) Self Assessment
3) Write down everything needed for the final assessment project or written assignment
4) Read everything
Next day: Take all quizzes
Next day: Turn in assessment/assignment.

If a teacher wasn't super quick and had that assessment looked at in 24 hours I reached out to my advisor to have them pause that competency (it will still be graded) so that I could open more and work on them. I believe there were 32 assessments. The first ones went back super quick, there were two that took a while longer because they were labor intensive.

The capstone I worked on the entire time so that when it opened I could speed through it.

Having a master in social science helped tremendously to do this.

Thanks for the description. Are the assessments always papers? Ballpark length (like, closer to 10-15 pages or closer to 50-75 pages)? Is there a capstone?

It sounds like they respond to requests pretty quickly. Nice!

In mine there is a capstone. There is either a written submission at the end of the competency (2-4 paragraphs per question), or there is a project. The projects I encountered were papers ranging from 6-18 pages, Power point presentations, and Excel Matrixes where you filled in a table with information.

But check the Walden NAEYC partnership page for current discounts for NAEYC members. NAEYC membership is $72 per year, and a $72 member can attach additional memberships for $22 each.

Update: The 50% discount for MS in Early Childhood Studies Tempo is no longer available, because the final enrollment date of the year has passed.

The dollar-amount grants (e.g. $1500/term for Master's) are for course-based education degrees only. (I know that seems to contradict what it says on the site, but that's what the rep told me.)

I am trying to get clarification on whether the 15% discount applies to Tempo programs.

They'll probably bring it back again next year. I haven't checked, but I'm curious if the same thing applies to other Tempo programs. The MS in Psychology has been a solid option and quite affordable from what I've seen and heard over the years
