I apologize if this information already exists somewhere.
1. What are the most transfer friendly programs at WGU with mostly "general studies" credits?
2. Does WGU require you to take any classes directly with them for graduation or can you transfer 100% of required credits.
3. Any relevant threads about WGU that I should explore?
Thanks!

The best thing to do is to reach out to them via email and ask for a transfer guide for the program you are interested in. WGU doesn't have electives, so you won't find a program with mostly general studies credits. My son is about to enroll in the business program, and I believe 93 credits are transferable. He's transferring in about 90 and planning to complete the remaining credits in one term. I have seen students complete twice that in one term, but they work really, really hard to accomplish that.
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management
Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice

You should investigate the Big3/WGU - Charter Oak/Excelsior College/Thomas Edison and Western Govenors are the Big 4 on this board.
I would add Hodges/Patten as the Big 5th/6th one, but it depends on what you're looking for, they're an alternative to WGU.

1. What are the most transfer friendly programs at WGU with mostly "general studies" credits?
They only have 4 "programs" - Business, IT, Nursing, Teaching - they mainly take all general education credits (up to 60/71)
2. Does WGU require you to take any classes directly with them for graduation or can you transfer 100% of required credits.
WGU is a competency based degree provider, they will take X credits for transfer and you will complete the rest in terms.
3. Any relevant threads about WGU that I should explore?
There's plenty, take your time, apply to them (as well as Excelsior) as it's FREE.
Signup for a free trial to Study.com and also signup for their Scholarship program.
This will get you the FREE Excelsior application as well, have your credits evaluated.

Thank you. It appears that Excelsior College/Thomas Edison might be a better fit.
