Woot woot! My husband's eval came back, and every Gen Ed course says "Met" and Satisfied by "AS - Santa Barbara City College". He definitely did not have all of the requirements done (English Comp II, Technical Comm, Integrated Physical Sciences, Natural Science Lab, Critical Thinking were all missing), but does not have to do them. The only downside: Gen Ed's in the program are only 33cu's (27% of the degree) which is a bummer, at most other schools it's about 50%.
Also, the MIS DSST counted for the Business of IT - Applications requirement, and the Cybersecurity DSST counted for the Fundamentals of Info Security requirement. They even posted his scores on there. That's 2 courses/7cu's.
Now, to get those CISSP, CCSP and CCNA: Security certs (for a total of 6 additional courses/25cu's). He will have 57cu's left when these are completed.
Trying to figure out which additional courses he can take in order to get a few more cu's out of the way before he starts (if he ends up doing this).
Anyway, hope this info helps someone else.

If I ever get the AAS at WVNCC, I will apply for the business degree and see what happens (assuming I can get the app fee waived).

Even if they stop doing the free application promotion that they've been doing for months, current students (and maybe alumni?) can give you a waiver code

Per my discussion with an adviser, the 5 year limit is generally for certifications (and they must be current certifications with CEs)

Yes - this was his block transfer to complete his Gen Ed's, had nothing to do with his major courses in IT. Those definitely have a 5-year limit.
