Hi,
I am trying to get as many general education credits I can get before attending WGU in January 2019.
This is comparison from saylor.org to WGU transfer pathways https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/Single.as...769&pid=78
I asked my enrollment couselor about the CLEP and she wouldn't give me a direct answer about this.
What CLEP WGU transferable exams should I get based on the saylor link above?
Thank you

Here's what I transferred in and how I got it:
English Composition I - CLEP
English Composition II - CLEP
Introduction to Communication - Study.com Public Speaking (DSST?)
Technical Communication - DSST Tech Writing
Intermediate Algebra - ALEKS College Algebra (or CLEP)
College Algebra - ALEKS PreCalc (probably need Trig now, or CLEP)
Introduction to Probability and Statistics - Study.com (ALEKS/DSST will likely work)
Integrated Physical Sciences - DSST Astronomy (CLEP Chem or Bio/other science DSST will likely work)
Introduction to Geography - CLEP Introductory Psychology (see the PDF for other possibilities)
Introduction to IT - CLEP Information Systems
Network and Security - Foundations - MTA Networking Essentials
Data Management - Foundations - MTA Database Foundations
Business of IT - Applications - DSST MIS
Business of IT - Project Management - Study.com Project Management
Managing Cloud Security - CCSK
Fundamentals of Information Security - CISA
Scripting and Programming – Foundations - Microsoft MTA: Software Development Fundamentals
Managing Information Security - CISA
Information Systems Security - CISA
Web Development Foundations - MTA HTML5 and CSS Fundamentals
This helped me a lot:

This is good information.
I currently hold some IT certification CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, Cisco CCNP R&S, CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless.
I asked my enrollment counselor what course would I get credit for for these certs, but he did not really answer the question. Instead, he told me that I would find out once I get started attending WGU.
Do you by any chance know what courses would I get credits for with these certs?
Also, would you recommend to knock out these General Education course outside of WGU by taking CLEP, Saylor, etc.?
My main problem is I am trying to get to WGU and working on my IT certs (JNCIP and AWS CSA) while working full time.
I created a calendar to follow and it seems to be feasible. I just need some discipline.

Most of the certs will count, depending on what degree you're going for and if the certs are less than 5 years old. For example, the CompTIA certs will count towards the Cyber Security degree (the one I'm going for), but the Cisco ones won't (it's not part of the curriculum).
I personally knocked out as many GenEds and other classes as possible to try to finish in one term. This is due to limitations on my tuition reimbursement from work, and the fact that I am much more comfortable taking a test than a class. I'll be coming into the degree well over halfway done having done this work beforehand, with very little money out of pocket.

It says the Cisco certs is acceptable: https://www.wgu.edu/admissions/transfers...tions.html
I forgot to mention that I'm on the same boat, but I am aiming for financial aid for WGU. I really don't want to chain myself with my employer for another year otherwise I would have to pay them back. This is the really reason I am taking this route because it is way cheaper and could work with my schedule in general.
How long did it take to transfer the DSST and ALEKS credits to WGU?
I heard that CLEP would take two months to transfer. Is that still true?
I am sorry if I am asking too much questions. This is very new to me and I am still putting the puzzles together.

The Cisco certs may or may not count directly towards your degree, depending on which degree you go for. The BSCSIA, for example, does not have Cisco as part of the curriculum ( check out https://partners.wgu.edu/transferguidelines for degree requirements ), but the CCNA or others can count for other classes. Check out the transfer guidelines for the degree you want. It'll eventually start making sense ;-).
I started transferring credits back in June, so I really don't remember how long it took, but it shouldn't be more than 2-3 weeks.

One thing to keep in mind with WGU - once you enroll, you cannot transfer in any additional credits. So, no matter what they say, DO NOT ENROLL! Instead, apply, send in your transcripts, and see what you eval comes back with, especially for your certs (those will be critical).
Then, come back here, and let us know what you still need to take, and we can give suggestions (although quigongene's are good). Study.com, Straighterline, CLEP, DSST - all will transfer, it's just a matter of what you can use.
Also, here is a list of what the certs will come in as for the different degrees (open a degree, then search for the cert). https://partners.wgu.edu/transferguidelines

I have not started taking classes yet. So far, I have created an account at WGU and took the Complete Admission Inventory and had exchanged email messages with my enrollment counselor. I was told by my enrollment counselor based on my IT certifications, I do not need to take the Readiness Assessment Exams. She advised me to take some courses over at Straighterline since it is cheaper and could work with my work schedule then transfer Straighterline credits to WGU.
At to this point, I believe I am not enroll yet at WGU, but what does being enroll mean?
I logged in to my https://my.wgu.edu/home and at the top right corner, it shows that I have a student ID number.
Also, I got my CompTIA certs back in 2015 and my CompTIA certs are about to expire in October of this year. Do I need to renew my CompTIA to get my credits?
I was supposed to take some classes over at Straighterline and transfer the credits to WGU, but I several days ago discovered CLEP and Saylor. I changed my original plan from taking the Straighterline route to CLEP and Saylor and may be some other places you guys have mentioned.

If you get your CompTIA certs submitted ASAP you should be fine not renewing them. Also, you aren't enrolled yet. Take as much as you can and submit to WGU before 12/1 if you're planning on starting on 1/1.
Also, I can't find anything definitive, but I'm pretty sure WGU doesn't take NCCRS. Make sure the courses you take from Saylor (and others) are ACE approved.
