Just received that the UCAM's DBA  (título propio) has been recognized by WES US as equivalent to a Doctorate degree in the US.

I thought a título propio doctorate is not recognized by the Spanish government's education system. I also checked using the WES tool, but I couldn't find the university listed. I'm curious. What standards does WES use for their evaluation? Do you think a título propio from Isabel I/ENEB would be recognized in the U.S. as well?

WES Canada and WES US are the same entity with two separate offices, I don't recommend either as they don't always provide favorable evaluations or do their evaluations as complete compared to other NACES members. For Canada, there are 6 total, 1 from Quebec for the Francophone or French Immersion programs, For US, they've got about 13 different members to select from, I would choose wisely...

I just have a small talk with their consultant and received the confirmation about the WES evaluation.

Propios are recognized by law by the government of Spain, they are just not registered with the education arm. Only official degrees are.

I believe WES already decided some time ago that degrees from the Isabel/ENEB partnership are considered unaccredited.

I find it interesting that they left the length of the program unspecified. I wonder if it was specified at 3 years rather or not they would have still given it a doctorate equivalency.
